BORIS
On H.M. the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Weekend
June 2022

It's possible that those Birmingham History Forum members who have followed the In The Garden threads over this and the last few years will remember previous images of Boris at leisure, deep in the Worcestershire countryside. I caught up with him again last Thursday.

Here he is, sailing on, apparently unconcerned, quite unsunk (as yet).

These are dangerous days though.  You need to watch your back.

There are clearly worries amongst his entourage. He's getting plenty of advice. You have to feel that, judging by his reaction, not all of it is wholly welcome.

"Hmmmm. Not sure I like this".

"In fact, I definitely don't. No one else is impressed either
".

"OK, another one. Right, carry on, I'm listening"

"Yes.....and.....?"

"So you think I ought to assert myself more? And that's the best you can do?"

"That's quite enough for now, but thank you SO much...... Cripes, what a bunch!  All this gives a chap a thirst".

"Anyone care to join me? We're still at work, aren't we?"

(A bit of background:
How is this private image now in the public domain? Which of the loyal supporters has shopped the boss?  Suspicion falls on the one at the far end. He tried to sell the image to the newspapers - on a matter of principle, of course, nothing at all to do with reward -  they felt it was old news and so he ended up having virtually to give it away to a TV news channel. No money changed hands but he is thought to have been offered a free extra handful of food, every day for the rest of his natural life, however long that might be. Not the most far-sighted of moves, if you think about it - he's dealing with Fox News.

And, natch, West Mercia Police are investigating....)

Anyway, blow all that. It's time for a bite, chaps....

Till the next time........
