This booklet was published in early 1943 and summarises the various courses open to members of Home Guard battalions in South Staffordshire
(and, no doubt, of other West Midlands units). Whilst specific to the
former area it is probably typical of the degree of organisation achieved by the service with regard to its training needs as it approached the third year of its existence.
These courses were held at various locations including one at the heart of the 32nd Staffordshire (Aldridge) Battn. area in the village of Aldridge itself; and others which are mentioned elsewhere in this website, such as the Birmingham Street Fighting School in Bristol Street, Birmingham;
